Join the TT4I Network: Advancing Impact-Driven Technology Transfer
The Impact Licensing Initiative (ILI) is inviting organisations to take part in the Tech Transfer Facilities for Impact (TT4I) network — a growing international network focused on translating research and innovation into measurable societal, environmental, and economic outcomes.
TT4Is act as independent intermediary entities that support the transfer of technologies from companies, universities, and research institutions into societal markets. Their role is to facilitate the identification of relevant technologies, support licensing processes, and help enable their deployment in real-world contexts where they can create tangible impact.
Organisations joining the network can take on different roles depending on their strengths and position within the innovation ecosystem. This may include activities such as:
- screening technologies,
- connecting partners,
- supporting licensing processes, and
- contributing to the deployment and scaling of solutions.
The model is designed to be flexible, allowing organisations to engage in ways that align with their existing capabilities and strategic priorities.
The TT4I network is open to a range of organisations, including technology transfer offices, universities, innovation agencies, companies, and accelerators, as well as other actors working at the interface of research and application. What they have in common is an interest in structured approaches to technology transfer that combine economic value with measurable societal outcomes.
Participating organisations benefit from working closely with the ILI team and network partners in the early stages of implementation. This includes access to methodologies and tools developed within the Impact Licensing Initiative, opportunities for capacity-building, and collaboration with peers across different regions. The initial phase also offers the possibility to contribute to shaping how the TT4I model evolves in practice.
The TT4I concept note outlines the network’s rationale, structure, and operational model, and provides further detail for organisations interested in engaging with this initiative.
Organisations interested in learning more or exploring how they could take part in the TT4I network are invited to get in touch with the ILI team at contact@impactlicensing.eu.
